DeMiero Jazz Fest
Friends of Frank DeMiero produces an annual jazz festival held in the Spring of the year. Each year, the festival has grown in scope providing more opportunities for the music community to experience jazz. The three-day DeMiero Jazz Fest consists of two components; a daytime performance/ clinic component for all-age school and community-based vocal groups as well as school based instrumental jazz ensembles (JazzReach) and an evening public performance component that features prominent artists from the world of jazz. During the daytime component, non-competitive sessions are held in which students perform for and are critiqued by prominent jazz educators. On two of the three daytime sessions, all participants are invited to meet and interact with headliners.
The Sno-King Community Chorale has been delighting audiences since 2001 under the direction of Frank DeMiero. The Chorale’s guiding credo – to “sing with a smile on your face and love in your heart” – is reflected in both the programming and collaboration with guest artists throughout the Chorale’s performing history.
